MaryKay Mahar has a diverse work experience in the early learning and prevention systems field. MaryKay started their career in 2000 as an Enrichment Program Coordinator at Schoolhouse Learning Centers, Inc. In 2004, they moved to Knowledge Learning Corporation, where they worked as a Center Director and Peer Trainer. In 2008, they joined Community Services for Children as a Keystone Stars Manager and later became the Race to the Top Manager. Since 2016, MaryKay has been working at Public Health Management Corporation, where they have held various roles, including Keystone STARS Manager, Southeast Regional Key Co-Director, Director of Philadelphia Regional Key, Senior Director of Early Learning, and currently Senior Director of Early Learning and Prevention Systems.
MaryKay Mahar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Women in Leadership Positions and Psychology from Penn State University in 2003. MaryKay later pursued a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Educational Psychology at Temple University from 2004 to 2005.
