Stefanie Mercado Altman

Stefanie Mercado Altman, MScPH, currently serves as the Community Engagement Manager at Public Health Solutions, where responsibilities include coordinating tobacco control and advocacy activities aligned with the NYS Department of Health. Prior to this role, Stefanie was the Enrollment Lead at Uno Health, assisting low-income Medicare beneficiaries with enrollment in various programs to enhance their health and financial well-being. As Co-Lead of La Esquina at Cityblock Health, Stefanie developed professional programming for Latinx employees and also worked as a Community Health Partner managing care for members to meet their wellness goals. Previous experience includes roles at Montefiore Health System as a Community Health Organizer and positions with Harris County Public Health and the William F. Ryan Community Health Network, focusing on health education and community outreach. Stefanie holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Ithaca College.
