Nerea Lastras Perez

Nerea Lastras Perez, CPA, currently serves as an Oversight Advisor at the Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB) since February 2020, focusing on the improvement of international audit, assurance, and ethics standards. Nerea has extensive experience in finance and accounting, having held senior managerial positions at Amazon from 2017 to 2020, and in the Accounting Policy and Financial Reporting department at The World Bank from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, Nerea worked at PwC for over a decade, progressing from Audit Associate to Senior Manager in the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory group. Nerea holds multiple degrees, including an Executive MBA from Esade, and is pursuing a Master of Philosophy with a focus on moral philosophy and ethics. Additionally, Nerea is a CFA Level II candidate and has completed Level I of the CFA program.
