Sandra J. Peters

Sandra J. Peters, CPA, CFA, currently serves as the Senior Head of Global Advocacy and Chief Financial Officer at CFA Institute, having been with the organization since October 2009. In addition, Sandra has been a Board Member for the Public Interest Oversight Board since January 2023 and an Investor Advisory Committee Member for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since December 2020. Previous roles include serving as a C-Suite Member and Chief at CFA Institute and as a member of the IFRS Interpretations Committee from July 2012 to June 2018. Sandra's career also includes a tenure as Corporate Controller at MetLife and Partner at KPMG US. Educational qualifications feature an MBA in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and a BSBA in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, along with ongoing executive education programs at the Aspen Institute and Texas McCombs School of Business.
