Christina Sheetz

Vice President at Public International Law & Policy Group

Christina Sheetz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different organizations. In 2003, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Policy Studies, where they analyzed US-Middle East policy. From 2005 to 2008, they were a Peace Fellow and Senior Research Associate at the Public International Law and Policy Group (PILPG), providing legal assistance and training to high-level Iraqi government officials and parties involved in the Darfur conflict. In 2006, they served as a Project Development Coordinator at the Center for International Development SUNY-Legislative Strengthening Program, managing event planning and coordinating training efforts between international and domestic consultants. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Project Officer for the WILpower program, a MEPI-funded initiative supporting the professional development of young Arab female legal practitioners. Christina then served as an International Legal Consultant at AECOM from 2010 to 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Legal/Policy Consultant at PILPG and as a Policy & Regulatory Reform Advisor at Sibley International. From 2013 to 2014, they were an Independent Consultant providing legal advice and conducting monitoring and evaluation for US government-funded projects. Finally, in 2015, they joined the Public International Law & Policy Group as a Project Manager, later becoming Vice President in 2019.

Christina Sheetz completed their education in a chronological order. From 1986 to 1998, they attended ISA, though no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. Later, they pursued a BA in International Relations and Middle East Studies at William & Mary, graduating in 2004. Christina then went on to attend American University Washington College of Law from 2005 to 2008, earning a JD with a focus on Public International Law.
