Richard Kraemer

Richard Kraemer is a seasoned expert in international affairs, currently serving as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the European Values Center for Security Policy, focusing on research and analysis of Western Balkan and Ukrainian matters. Since May 2020, Richard has also contributed to the Frontier Europe Initiative at the Middle East Institute, specializing in Russian interventions and energy security in the Black Sea region. In addition, Richard holds the position of Board President at the US-Europe Alliance and is a Nonresident Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, where work involves studying Eurasian trends and their impacts on the West. Richard's extensive experience includes serving as a Senior Project Manager for Eastern Europe at Development Alternatives Inc and a Senior Program Officer at the National Endowment for Democracy, overseeing diverse programs aimed at promoting democracy and governance. Richard's academic foundation includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from American University and a Bachelor of Arts from William & Mary.
