Precious Nyamugama

Precious Nyamugama (PhD) has extensive work experience in various roles related to strategy execution, IT governance, and digital experience. Precious currently holds the position of Head: Strategy GRC & Digital Experience at the Public Investment Corporation since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at PIC since 2007, where they held several positions, including Acting Executive Head (CIO) and Senior Manager Innovation & Portfolio Management. Before joining PIC, they worked at an asset management firm from 2007 to 2009. Precious has also gained experience as a Project Director in Africa at Vision R/4 from 2006 to 2007 and as an Applications Controller at Chemplex Group from 2003 to 2006. In the early stages of their career, they worked as a System Developer at Chemplex Group from 1999 to 2002.

Precious Nyamugama (PhD) earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Digital Transformation from GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) between 2016 and 2020. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Nottingham Trent University, which was completed from 2003 to 2005. Precious Nyamugama also holds certifications in AgilePM® Practitioner, Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) from institutions such as APMG International and ISACA.
