Shade Abdul is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in urban design and planning, currently serving as a Design Review Panel Member for the London Borough of Hounslow and the London Borough of Newham, as well as a Principal Planner/Urban Designer at Luton Borough Council and a Public Practice Associate with PUBLIC PRACTICE. Additionally, Shade Abdul holds positions as an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, and is a RIBA Part 3 External Examiner at the University of Westminster. Prior experience includes directing Deft.Space and contributing to the Southwark Land Commission. Ongoing academic pursuits include a PhD in Critical Spatial Practice at the University of the Arts London, alongside a PGCert in Academic Practice.
