Shannon Hunt

Shannon Hunt has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Shannon is currently serving as the Vice President of Organizational & Operational Excellence at the Public Services Health & Safety Association since July 2020. Prior to this role, Shannon was the Director of Digital Creations, Products & Programs at the same organization from July 2017 to July 2020.

Before joining the Public Services Health & Safety Association, Shannon worked at the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) from April 2013 to September 2017. Shannon held various positions at IHSA, including Manager of the Centre for Educational Excellence, Acting Director of the Center for Educational Excellence & COR, and Manager of Regional Operations. In these roles, Shannon demonstrated strong leadership and management skills, overseeing teams, managing operations, implementing business processes and governance models, and driving change management initiatives.

Shannon also gained business process advisory experience at Liberty Utilities from November 2012 to April 2013, and served as the Supervisor of Trade School and Organizational Development at Toronto Hydro from September 2009 to November 2012.

Earlier in their career, Shannon worked as a Research and Developer at the Electrical & Utilities Safety Association from April 2004 to September 2009, where they were responsible for conducting research, providing evidence-based information, and offering consulting services in areas related to organizational culture, safety culture, and change management.

Shannon began their career as a Kinesiologist at CN Rail - Health Systems Group from October 2001 to April 2004.

Shannon Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Kinesiology from Western University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they obtained an MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
