Michael Braine

Michael Braine serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Public Storage since July 2020, bringing extensive experience in technology leadership across various organizations. Previously, Michael held the role of CIO at Tapestry, overseeing brands such as COACH and kate spade from October 2017 to May 2020, and also served as CIO at Coach for a brief period in 2017. Prior to these positions, Michael’s career included a significant tenure at Luxottica, where responsibilities included global IT business services for numerous retail brands and leadership in retail information technology. Additional roles included Program Delivery Manager at SAP Retail, and experience in retail operations at ExxonMobil. Michael's military background as a Captain in the United States Army provided early leadership experience. Educational credentials include a BS in Environmental Planning and Design from Rutgers University, an MBA from Penn State University, and several executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as MIT and Dartmouth.
