Kassie Markos

Kassie Markos has extensive experience in government affairs and public policy, currently serving as a Senior Government Affairs and Public Policy Representative at Puget Sound Energy since January 2013. In this role, responsibilities include conducting legislative research and analysis, preparing summaries and issue briefs on federal energy issues, providing coverage of congressional hearings, and planning corporate political events. Prior experience includes positions as a Domestic Education Intern at One by One, where participation involved assisting with the Young Global Leaders Program and organizing a lobbying trip to Washington D.C., and a Student Assistant at Creative Communications at the University of Washington. Earlier career experience includes an Administrative Intern role at GeoEngineers Inc. Kassie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Law, Societies, and Justice from the University of Washington and has also studied at the University of Washington Rome Center. Educational achievements include graduating with a Diploma with Honors from Gig Harbor High School.
