Bernadette obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology from Immaculata University, which they attended from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued their Medical Doctor (MD) degree at Temple University, where they studied Medicine from 2001 to 2005. Dr. Thomas then completed their Internal Medicine Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2005 to 2008. Afterward, they enrolled at the University of Washington School of Public Health, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Epidemiology from 2010 to 2014. Bernadette furthered their specialization in Nephrology by completing a Fellowship at the University of Washington from 2009 to 2011.
