Junaid Alam

Junaid Alam has a diverse work experience in the field of HR and Organizational Development. Junaid currently holds the position of Global Head of People & Culture at PULA, where they are responsible for overseeing the company's HR strategies and initiatives. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Mentor & Coach specializing in Total Reward Strategies and People & Culture at GrowthMentor.

Previously, Junaid held several roles at Swvl, including Director of People & Culture Operations, Total Rewards & People Partner Expansion Markets - EMEA. In this role, they were responsible for managing the employee lifecycle, developing Total Rewards strategies, and implementing HR systems globally.

Before joining Swvl, Junaid worked at ibex as the Head of Human Resources & Organizational Development (OD). Junaid also held the position of Country Lead HR Business Partner & Organizational Development (OD) and Senior Manager of Human Resources Operations, Total Rewards & Governance. During their time at ibex, they focused on talent management, performance improvement, and employee motivation.

Junaid's previous experience includes working as a Regional Manager HR at METRO AG, where they were responsible for HR policy implementation and talent acquisition. Junaid also worked as an HR Specialist in Talent Management & Total Rewards at Philip Morris International, where they handled compensation and benefits, talent management, and job evaluations.

Early in their career, Junaid worked at Coca-Cola CCI as an Assistant Manager HR and Management Trainee. In these roles, they focused on compensation and benefits, cost analysis, and business process improvement.

Overall, Junaid brings a wealth of experience in HR strategy, talent management, and employee engagement to their current role as a Global Head of People & Culture.

Junaid Alam completed their education as follows:

- From 2014 to 2017, they attended the Institute of Business Administration, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

- From 2007 to 2011, they also attended the Institute of Business Administration and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.

- In 2005, they completed their Higher Secondary Certificate at D.J. Science College.

- In 2003, they completed their O Levels at St. Michael's Convent School.

In addition to their formal education, Junaid Alam obtained several certifications, including a Leadership Award from ibex. Pakistan, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) - I from the CFA Institute, and they were a finalist in the CaseIT Competition at Simon Fraser University. Junaid also obtained certifications in Job and Personal Profiling - DISC from Thomas International and was recognized as a finalist for Best HR Leader by HRM Asia.
