Jane R. Jaxon

Jane R. Jaxon has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Beginning as a Sales Intern for the Boston Cannons in 2006, they then moved on to roles such as Internal Events & Meeting Coordinator at Sodexo, and later as the Director of Institutional Affairs at the New England School of Acupuncture. At the school, they also served as the Academic Affairs Coordinator and was responsible for driving various projects and managing board meetings.

From 2012 to 2016, they worked at Buildium LLC, where they started as the HR/Office Manager before being promoted to Director of People Ops/HR. Jane R.'stime at Buildium was marked by scaling the company from 20 to over 175 employees, while building and strengthening the HR and Talent Acquisition functions. Jane R. focused on creating a great company culture and was recognized for their contributions.

Following their time at Buildium, Jane joined Placester, Inc. as the Sr. Director of People Operations, overseeing HR, Talent Acquisition, and Operations for the venture-backed real estate SaaS company. During their tenure, they successfully supported multiple strategy shifts while improving recruiting and retention efforts.

In 2018, they became the VP of People at Wistia, a bootstrapped and privately-owned video marketing SaaS company. Jane R. led the Talent Acquisition, HR, and Operations teams, driving growth and overseeing various mission-critical initiatives. Under their leadership, headcount increased by 160%.

Starting from 2020 until the present, Jane has been a member of the Chief People Officers Headquarters (CPOHQ) at Knoetic, a platform for Chief People Officers to learn from each other. Jane R.'sinvolvement in this role allows their to continue expanding their knowledge and expertise in the field.

Most recently, Jane joined Propel, Inc. in 2023 as the VP of People, where they currently hold the position.

Jane R. Jaxon completed the K1 Capital Accelerated Management Program in 2016. In the same year, they also obtained a Change Leadership Certificate from eCornell. Jane R. attended Boston University in 2003 and King's College from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Psychology.
