Zhe Rui "Malcolm" Tan

Malcolm Tan has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2012 as a National Serviceman in the Singapore Armed Forces. In 2014, they worked as a Summer Analyst (Intern) at OCBC Bank. Malcolm then moved on to Ra Pharmaceuticals in 2017, where they served as a Scientist (CO-OP) and contributed to synthesizing and purifying small molecules and peptides. In 2018, they joined the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Scientist (CO-OP), conducting studies on the impact of crosslinker molecular weight, crosslinker chirality, and hydrogel swelling on hydrogel dissolution times and final particle sizes.

Malcolm also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University in 2018, where they gained experience in research. Malcolm then pursued a role as a Data Scientist (Trainee) at DataSpark in 2020, honing their skills in data analysis. In 2022, they joined KAPPS Consulting as a Graduate Intern (Software Developer), enhancing their software development expertise. Malcolm also had a brief stint as a Junior Blockchain Developer at Pundi X in 2022 before transitioning to their current position as a Blockchain Developer at Pundi X in 2023.

Malcolm Tan's education history includes a Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis from the National University of Singapore, which they pursued from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from Northeastern University, graduating between 2014 and 2019. Malcolm also attended Yishun Junior College from 2010 to 2011, where they pursued Singapore-Cambridge G.C.E A' Levels. Malcolm'ssecondary education took place at Hai Sing Catholic School from 2007 to 2009, where they completed Singapore-Cambridge G.C.E O' Levels. Malcolm's educational qualifications also include a certification in "Go: The Complete Developer's Guide (Golang)" obtained in January 2023 from Udemy.
