David Mead

David Mead has a diverse work experience with several notable positions. David is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Marketing at PuppySpot. In this role, they oversee the marketing department.

Prior to their current position, David worked at Sling TV, where they held multiple roles. From December 2020 to January 2023, they served as the Head of Marketing Strategy & Growth. Their responsibilities included defining the marketing strategy, optimizing the marketing budget, and leading various media channels. David also served as the Acting Head of Marketing from January 2021 to April 2022.

Before that, David was the Head of Lifecycle Marketing at Sling TV from February 2020 to December 2020. David managed a team focused on increasing customer lifetime value through winback and retention efforts. During their tenure, the team achieved significant results, including a 20% increase in returning subscribers and a 30% decrease in net churn.

David's previous roles at Sling TV include Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager in the Lifecycle Marketing department, where they contributed to the success of email and digital communications strategies.

Prior to Sling TV, David worked at Cabela's as an Email Marketing Senior Specialist and Senior Copywriter | Managing Editor. David was responsible for email marketing campaigns and content creation.

Interestingly, before transitioning into the marketing field, David spent several years as a professional poker player. David credits this experience with teaching him valuable skills such as data analysis, decision-making, and applying concepts like statistical significance and expected value in real-life situations.

David Mead received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English with a self-placed emphasis on creative writing/blogging from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. David then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management at Chadron State College, completing their studies from 2014 to 2017.
