Laura Arias Velásquez

Laura Arias Velásquez is a skilled professional in environmental management with substantial experience in carbon solutions and forestry. Currently serving as a Carbon Manager at PUR since July 2023, Laura previously worked as a Natural Carbon Solutions Consultant at FORLIANCE and held an internship at CIFOR-ICRAF. Earlier work experience includes internships at CIRAD and a multifaceted role at South Pole, where Laura contributed as both a forestry and land use advisor and a GIS professional. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Forest Sciences from Università degli Studi di Padova and a Master of Science in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management from The University of Göttingen, complemented by specialization in Environmental Management and a Bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
