Mario Romero

Mario Romero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health and social enterprise. Currently serving as the Regional Manager for Africa at PUR Projet since October 2022, Mario previously co-founded and led MaiSoin as CEO, an initiative aimed at enhancing public healthcare accessibility in Côte d'Ivoire through technology. Mario's background includes roles at The Carter Center, where responsibilities spanned from Deputy Country Representative in the Guinea Worm Eradication Program to Acting Senior Operations Manager, and various positions in program management and conflict resolution. Educational credentials include an MBA/MA in International Policy & Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Michigan.
