Mitchel Foster

Mitchel Foster has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Mitchel started their career in sales as an Inside Sales Representative at CLEARLINK in 2013. Mitchel then worked as a Delivery Driver and Inventory Specialist at Standard Plumbing Supply in 2014. In 2015, they became a Retail Energy Consultant and Regional Trainer at SolarCity, where they facilitated in-home consultations with clients and trained new employees.

Moving into the technology field, Mitchel joined Emergency Essentials as the Lead of Inventory Control in 2015. In 2016, they became a Route Manager at Aptive Environmental.

In 2017, Mitchel transitioned to software engineering roles. Mitchel started as a Full Stack Developer at DevMountain Student Developers, working on projects such as a site for Personal Sleep Apnea Care and a mobile web app for searching Marvel Characters. Mitchel then joined NUVI as a Software Engineer, focusing on full stack JavaScript development with React.js and Node.js.

From 2019 to 2020, Mitchel worked at Weave HQ as a Software Engineer. In this role, they gained experience in backend development.

In December 2020, they joined BGZ brands™ as a Software Engineer, where they maintained and improved apps and the serverless backend for BodyGuardz smart home devices. Mitchel utilized technologies such as AWS IoT Core, Lambda, and DynamoDB, as well as Swift, Java, and React.js.

Most recently, Mitchel joined Pura as a Software Engineer in November 2021.

Mitchel Foster's education history begins in 2008 when they attended the University of South Carolina-Beaufort for a period of two years, focusing on General Studies. In 2013, they enrolled at Utah Valley University and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, which they completed in 2017. In that same year, Mitchel attended Devmountain and studied Web Development. Mitchel also earned a certification in Javascript Web Development from Devmountain in August 2017.
