Laura Baron has a wealth of experience in the architecture and sustainability sectors. Laura began their career in 2008 as an Architectural Assistant at Rory the Architect and Emergency Architects Australia, where they volunteered their time. In 2009, they worked as an Architectural Assistant at Brewster Hjorth Architects and Andy Foster Architects. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as an Architect at Wright & Wright Architects, where they were involved in a range of projects in the UK. In 2017, they took on the role of Visiting Critic and Practice Links Mentor at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University. In 2021, they became a LETI volunteer at the London Energy Transformation Initiative. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Head of Sustainability at Purcell.
Laura Baron's education history begins with their obtaining their GCSEs from Mold Alun High School between 1997 and 2002. Laura then went on to Mold Alun Sixth Form and achieved their A Levels between 2002 and 2004. Following this, they attended the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University and obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Architectural Studies between 2006 and 2008. Laura then went on to obtain their Master of Architecture (MArch) from the same university between 2008 and 2010. In 2012 and 2013, they obtained their RIBA Part 3 Examination in Professional Practice in Architecture from London Metropolitan University. Additionally, Laura has obtained a LEED Green Associate certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in February 2022.
