Chairperson & Regional Partner at Purcell

Liz was appointed Chairperson of Purcell in 2021 and is the regional partner for London and the South East UK. Her passion lies in progressive conservation, approaching historic buildings with new and groundbreaking design concepts.

At the core of building conservation, Liz believes designs can be more creative within the specific constraints and rich context of historic environments. Liz is highly regarded for her diligent work ethic and innovation, honing her skills through remarkable projects for the National Maritime Museum, Kew Palace, and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Inspiring colleagues to learn new skills and develop a love for historic buildings is important to Liz. Helping to usher in a new generation of conservation designers, Liz established the Purcell Conservation School for students and recently qualified architects.

Liz features as the conservation architect in Channel 4's TV series Phil Spencer's Stately Homes.
