Julie Ducharme

Julie Ducharme has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and research industry. Julie currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Purdue Pharma L.P. since August 2019. Prior to this, they held the role of Managing Director and Head of Global R&D ex-US at Mundipharma Research Limited from March 2017 to July 2019. Julie has also worked as the Vice President of Research and Development at Purdue Pharma (Canada) from January 2016 to March 2017 and as the General Manager of Human Health Therapeutics at the National Research Council Canada from August 2012 to January 2016. Prior to these roles, Julie had various leadership positions in R&D at AstraZeneca from January 1997 to July 2012. Julie also gained research experience through postdoctoral fellowships at Université de Paris and McGill University and worked as a Clinical Research Associate at GSK and a Pharmaceutical Research Trainee at Sanofi. Julie's work experience demonstrates their expertise and commitment to advancing scientific research and development in the pharmaceutical industry.

Julie Ducharme holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Université de Montréal, which they obtained from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution and earned an MSc and PhD in Pharmacy from 1987 to 1993.
