Sal Barriga

Sal Barriga has been working in the research and development field since 2013. Sal began their career at INFINIUM Inc. as a Sr. Research Engineer in 2013, before moving to New Valence Robotics Corporation in 2016 as a Principal Research Scientist. In 2017, Sal joined Digital Alloys as a Principal Research Engineer, and later was promoted to Director of Research and Principal Research Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, Sal was appointed Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Pure Lithium Corporation.

Sal Barriga's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they obtained between 2007 and 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley between 2004 and 2006. Sal also has an Associate of Science (AS) in Physical Sciences from Modesto Junior College, which they obtained between 2001 and 2004.
