Thontesh Hirehalli Renukarya is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management and architecture across multiple prestigious companies. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Pure Storage since May 2023, Thontesh oversees Backup and Data Services for On-prem/SaaS products while driving team performance and creativity. Previously, at Nutanix from December 2017 to May 2023, Thontesh successfully built a robust team of over 20 engineers for the Nutanix Database Service. Thontesh has held significant roles at Huawei Technologies as Chief Architect, Cisco as Engineering Architect, and NetApp as Technical Lead and Engineering Architect, along with experience as a Founder for an Android social app. Thontesh began a career at Sun Microsystems and Brocade, showcasing a strong foundation in computer science, having earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Siddaganga Institute of Technology.
