Venkat Ramakrishnan

Venkat Ramakrishnan is currently the VP & GM of Portworx within the Cloud Native Business Unit at Pure Storage, a position held since October 2020. Prior to this, Ramakrishnan served as Vice President of Engineering and Products at Portworx from October 2016 to October 2020. Previous roles include Senior Director of Software Development for WD ActiveScale at Western Digital, where responsibilities included managing software development teams and overseeing cloud storage software, and holding senior leadership positions at AMD/Seamicro, Fusion-io, Active Storage, and Promise Technology. Ramakrishnan's extensive experience encompasses software engineering, product development, and team management across multiple regions and cultures, with a strong focus on cloud technologies, storage systems, and data management. Currently pursuing further education at INSEAD, Ramakrishnan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from A.C.C.E.T.
