Data and Development Engineer

SUMMARY:

The Data and Development Engineer is responsible for leading customers through the delivery of data and analytics, develop solutions and automations, and perform related technology deployments. An ideal candidate would possess the skills to form a holistic understanding of the customer’s business needs and desired outcomes, map those needs against a technology stack that fits their objectives and delivers a scalable solution that solves the stated business challenge. As a Microsoft Gold Partner, an in-depth understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, data and analytics, and business tools ecosystems are required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Hands-on experience gathering customer requirements, understanding the process of designing an MVP, white-boarding technical solutions, and building a project Statement of Work (SOW) In-depth knowledge regarding modern data warehouse concepts, and hands-on experience designing and implementing a modern data warehouse in the Microsoft Azure cloud Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure Data and Analytics ecosystems Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Dataverse Experience with Data Lake, Microsoft SQL Server, Cosmos DB Experience with Data Factory, Synapse, or Data Bricks Experience with Logic Apps Experience with Azure DevOps Experience with ETL / ELT processes, R, and Python Hands-on experience planning, designing, and implementing solutions within the ecosystems outlined

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Market understanding of industry trends for Microsoft 365 Proven implementation of DevOps / DevSecOps solutions including low-code capabilities Proven implementation of CI/CD processes in data and analytics projects Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies and strategy Program management skills and solution support for digital transformation / implementation programs Business case development skills for justifying, prioritizing & forecasting the funding requirements for digital transformation programs and initiatives Possession of certifications related to tools and processes mentioned. Such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Power platform Developer Associate The following Microsoft certification badges are also highly desired: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-204 + AZ-400) Customer Data Platform Specialty (MB-260) Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-400 + PL-600) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a consultant and engineer for Purely Cloud’s consulting practice. Deploy and support a mix of technologies for our clients. Design and implement cloud solutions related to Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Azure SaaS, and Microsoft 365. Plan and execute data and application migration plans to the Azure and/or Microsoft 365 cloud environments. Participate in technical sessions with clients to discover requirements and develop solutions. Work with the sales team to understand client needs and develop opportunities. Serve as engineering lead to implement projects, leveraging other resources as needed. Assist other engineers as resource for project implementations Mentor and develop engineering team member roles. Maintain technical certifications as required. YOUR TECHNICAL ABILITIES

Minimum five years of relevant industry experience in a Microsoft environment including subject matter expertise with Power Platform, data ecosystems, and other tools as outlined. EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS POSITION
