Tim Quach

Principal Scientist at PureTech Health

Tim Quach has a diverse background in scientific research and development. Tim is currently employed as a Principal Scientist at PureTech Health since March 2021. Prior to this, Tim worked at Monash University for ten years as a Postdoctoral Scientist in Drug Delivery and Medicinal Chemistry, where they focused on designing and synthesizing novel drug-lipid conjugates. Tim also specialized in the development of triglyceride-mimetic prodrugs of various pharmaceutical agents. Tim's experience also includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Melbourne, where they worked on carbohydrate and synthetic organic chemistry, specifically in the synthesis of glycoside-based enzyme inhibitors. Additionally, Tim has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California San Diego, where they focused on marine natural products and synthetic organic chemistry. Here, they synthesized complex molecules and developed spectroscopic methods for configuring remote stereocentres.

Tim Quach earned their Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Melbourne from 1999 to 2002. Tim then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry at the same institution, completing it from 2003 to 2007.
