Juan G. Santiago

Scientific Advisor and Co-founder at Purigen Biosystems

Juan G. Santiago has worked in a variety of roles throughout their career. From 1995 to 1997, they were a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at The Aerospace Corporation. In 1997, they took on a Postdoctoral Research Fellow role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Beckman Institute. From 1998 to 2013, they worked at Stanford University as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Professor and Chair of Thermosciences Group, and Charles Lee Powell Foundation Professor and Vice Chair of Mechanical Engineering. In 2002, they co-founded Cooligy and served as a Senior Consultant. Finally, in 2013, they became a Scientific Advisor and Co-founder at Purigen Biosystems.

Juan G. Santiago obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida between 1987 and 1990. Juan G. then continued their education by obtaining a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1990 and 1995.
