Juan Ramirez

Juan Ramirez, MA, NIC, EIPA, is a trilingual sign language interpreter specializing in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL), with extensive experience in post-secondary education, technology, social justice, and community settings. Currently serving as a freelance interpreter at Malinalli Interpreting and Consulting since May 2016, Juan has also worked with Peralta Community College District, Purple Communications, Inc., and San Jose/Evergreen Community College District, among others. Previous roles include interpreting internships and positions focused on college access and community education, such as the College Now! Program Lead at the Seven Tepees Youth Program. Juan holds a Bachelor of Arts in American/United States Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master of Arts in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University, along with multiple associate degrees and certifications related to sign language interpretation and translation.
