Job description

Purple Land Management is currently seeking a GIS Product Manager to join our team in Fort Worth, TX! Our GIS Product Manager must possess athorough understanding of the ESRI ArcGIS Suite and be able to use thatknowledge to develop reusable products to support our land management services. The Product Manager must be able to analyze and review business requirements for PLM clients and employees, define functional requirements for innovative products, and manage a team to develop those products.  Experience with land management, title or legal services a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Product Vision, Strategy, Roadmap, and Product Backlog
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with strategyOwn requirements, specifications, and release plans for assigned products
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for assigned scrum teams
  • Prioritize product development and feature enhancements
  • Understand and incorporate customer and market insights into the roadmap
  • Deliver business cases to support business decisions and technology requirements
  • Performs complex data analysis using ArcGIS and related extensions/add ons, relational databases, and other computer software and platforms

Mandatory Requirements

  • BS/BA in business, engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years’ direct product management experience
  • Experience with ArcGIS desktop suite and AGOL
  • Understands meta data generation and application for data sets created
  • Experience with SQL is a plus
  • Experience with database adapters, API and web based solutions and platforms, information systems and databases, and cloud based collaboration platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of GIS-based software solutions
  • Strong product management competency
  • Experience with GIS-based document management
  • Business and financial acumen to direct and provide business and market-oriented guidance around elements of the products (relative priorities and needs, performance requirements, cost/price, and timing targets, etc.)
  • Go-to expert for features and product
  • Brainstorms constructively with others
  • Leads effective brainstorming with others
  • Structures strategic conversations
  • Drives Product strategy
