Anna Huijgen

Anna Huijgen is an experienced educator and educational author, currently serving as Chair of the Education Network for the PvdA since February 2021, where initiatives focus on revitalizing education within party policy. With a background in teaching history and social studies at various educational levels, including roles as Extended Essay Coordinator and IB Coordinator at De Nieuwe Internationale School Esprit, Anna has contributed to multiple educational authorship projects. Notable previous positions include teaching and curriculum development at schools in the Netherlands and abroad, including Yogyakarta International School and Alberdingk Thijm Scholen. Anna holds a Master of Arts in Cultural History from the University of Amsterdam, alongside several degrees in history and education, and has been active in anti-racism initiatives.
