Brian Livezey

Brian Livezey has a diverse background in software engineering and architecture with over 30 years of experience. Brian is currently a Principal Senior Engineer at PVM, Inc., where they lead a team of developers and system administrators to develop and support a system for a major Fintech company. This system processes millions of retail transactions per day and provides business analytics to merchants and government entities. Prior to this, Brian worked at Software Investigations, where they explored software tools and frameworks. Brian also worked at JDA Software for 15 years, holding roles such as Senior Software Architect and Project Manager. During their time at JDA Software, they built elements of a distributed, high-performance, Java-based retail planning cache and designed and developed software products for retail with a focus on data mining and large database applications. Brian also has experience at Accrue Software, NeoVista, Informix, and Lockheed Missiles and Space Co., where they worked on various software engineering projects, including the development of prototypes for the Artificial Intelligence Center.

Brian Livezey completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Computer Science at UCLA from 1981 to 1985. Brian then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the same university from 1985 to 1988.
