Krister Saarelainen

Krister Saarelainen began their work experience in 2009 as a Financial Secretary at the University of Tampere. In 2011, they worked as an Accounting Trainee at the City of Tampere. In 2012, they joined PwC Suomi as an Assurance Trainee and later became an Associate and Senior Associate in Assurance Services. In 2014, they worked as a Controller at Adven Group. From 2015 onwards, they joined PwC Finland, starting as a Senior Associate in Systems & Process Assurance and later progressing to Manager, Senior Manager, and currently, Director of Risk Assurance Services.

Krister Saarelainen earned a Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Tampere, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Krister also completed their Matriculation Examination at the Classical High School of Tampere from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, they hold certifications including the COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certificate from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. and the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA, obtained in 2017 and 2021, respectively.
