Monalissa Malheiros Cairncross

Monalissa Malheiros Cairncross is a seasoned tax professional currently serving as a Tax Principal in the Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) practice at PwC since September 2025. Prior to this role, Monalissa spent over a decade at the Internal Revenue Service where Monalissa held multiple leadership positions, including Assistant Director of the Advance Pricing and Mutual Agreement Program (APMA) and Manager roles within the same program. Monalissa's career began in 2001 and includes experience at the US Treasury as an Economist, PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Transfer Pricing Senior Associate, and other roles in finance and economics. Monalissa holds a Master's degree in Applied Economics and Finance from the University of California, Santa Cruz, along with Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
