Head Of Research at PXL-Music

Brecht De Man has a diverse work experience in the field of music, engineering, and research. Brecht is currently working as the Head of Research at PXL-Music since January 2022. In addition, they have served as a Guest Lecturer at the Koninklijk Conservatorium - Royal Conservatoire since September 2019 and as a Lecturer at ie-net ingenieursvereniging since September 2021. Brecht has also held the position of Onderzoekshoofd at Hogeschool PXL since January 2022.

Brecht De Man began their education at Ghent University where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering in 2010. In addition, they engaged in an exchange program at ETH Zürich, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from 2010 to 2011.

Following their studies at Ghent University and ETH Zürich, Brecht pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Ghent University, which they completed in 2010. Additionally, in 2013, they completed a research internship at McGill University, although the field of study is not specified.

Brecht De Man continued their academic journey at Queen Mary University of London, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Audio Engineering in 2016. During their time at Queen Mary University, they also obtained a Teaching Skills Certificate in October 2012.
