Brecht De Man has a diverse work experience in the field of music, engineering, and research. Brecht is currently working as the Head of Research at PXL-Music since January 2022. Brecht De Man began their education at Ghent University where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering in 2010. In addition, they engaged in an exchange program at ETH Zürich, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from 2010 to 2011.

Following their studies at Ghent University and ETH Zürich, Brecht pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Ghent University, which they completed in 2010. Additionally, in 2013, they completed a research internship at McGill University, although the field of study is not specified.

Brecht De Man continued their academic journey at Queen Mary University of London, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Audio Engineering in 2016. During their time at Queen Mary University, they also obtained a Teaching Skills Certificate in October 2012.

Alongside their formal education, Brecht De Man has obtained various certifications. Brecht completed the Focusrite Pro RedNet Certification - Advanced from Focusrite Pro in January 2021.
