Frauke Coppieters is the CEO and co-founder of pxlence, a company established in April 2015 as a spin-off from Ghent University. Under Frauke Coppieters' leadership, pxlence has developed the primerXL software, which has generated nearly one million assays for both fresh frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) material, covering over 99% of the human exome. In addition to this role, Frauke Coppieters has served as a post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Medical Genetics at Ghent University Hospital since October 2011. Frauke Coppieters earned a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Human/Medical Genetics from Ghent University from 2005 to 2011, after obtaining a Master's degree in Biomedical Science from the same institution between 2001 and 2005.
