Nashwa Al Ruwaini has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various sectors. Nashwa began their career as a Media Consultant at the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture & Heritage in 2005. Prior to this, they held roles such as Digital Consultant and Strategic Advisor in various governmental and non-governmental entities starting from 2000.
In 1998, they founded the Pyramedia Group and held multiple roles including Media profiling consultant, Founder and Board Member, and eventually became the CEO and Board Member.
Nashwa also owned and managed several businesses in different sectors, including media production and consultancy, advertising, PR, financial investments, jewellery, and a medical spa.
In recent years, they founded Global Dimension in 2019 and Nashwa Jewellery in 2018.
Additionally, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Delma Medical Center since 2009 and founded the Nashwa Al Ruwaini Foundation in 2008.
Nashwa has been a key player in various initiatives in Abu Dhabi, contributing to projects such as the Middle East Film Festival, Al Mahabba Awards Festival, and the Prince of Poets Festival, among others.
Earlier in their career, they had significant contributions to the media industry, serving as a Senior Producer, Senior Executive Producer, and Senior Presenter at MBC Middle East Production Center and Dubai TV, where they gained recognition for their talk show and received awards for their work. Nashwa also held the position of Head of MBC Egypt and North Africa, where they played a crucial role in establishing and growing the MBC Group.
Nashwa Al Ruwaini holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Political Science and Government from SOAS University of London, as well as a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Islamic Studies, also from SOAS University of London. Nashwa has also obtained a certification in Real Estate Economics and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2021.
