Garry Choy MD MBA has held a variety of roles in the medical and healthcare industry since 2000. In 2000, they were a Product Manager at Upwork (formerly eLance.com). From 2002 to 2005, they were a Research Fellow in Molecular Imaging & Radiology at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a Research Fellow in the Department of Radiology/Surgery, Molecular Imaging Lab at Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health, and an Internal Medicine Intern at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. In 2006, they became an Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer at Massachusetts General Hospital, and in 2007 they were a Consultant at BestDoctors (now Teladoc). In 2010, they became a Physician Faculty/Radiologist at Harvard Medical School. From 2013 to 2016, they were Co-Founder/Chief Medical Officer and Compliance Officer at CredSimple (now Andros). Since 2020, they have held various roles at UnitedHealth Group, including Chief Clinical Transformation Officer, SVP, Deputy Chief Medical Officer - Clinical Transformation, and Senior Vice President, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Systems - Corporate Medical Affairs.

Garry Choy MD MBA began their educational journey in 1995 at Columbia University, where they earned a BS in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. In 1999, they moved to Stanford University to obtain a MS in Operations Research and Economic Engineering Systems (Management Science / Industrial Engineering). Garry then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a MD in Medicine. In 2011, they completed their educational journey at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Additionally, they hold certifications in Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) from the Certification Board of Computed Tomography, and in Diagnostic Radiology from The American Board of Radiology.
