Before joining Q Capital in June 2004, Mr. Shapiro was a Senior Vice President with MacAndrews & Forbes Inc., a private holding company. Beginning in 1994, Mr. Shapiro held positions as Chief Administrative Officer of each of Revlon, Inc., and Sunbeam Corporation, and general Counsel of each of the Coleman Company, Inc. and Marvel Entertainment, Inc. He was an Executive Vice President of each of the aforementioned public companies. Prior thereto, Mr. Shapiro practiced corporate and securities law as managing shareholder of the Palm Beach County office of Greenberg Traurig LLP (which acquired Shapiro and Bregman, a firm he co-founded) and was a partner in Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen. Mr. Shapiro was a founder and Co-Director of the Institute for Paralegal Training, the first school created for the training of legal assistants. Mr. Shapiro holds a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Mr. Shapiro serves on the Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Audit Committee of Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE) and is member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
