Dimitri Koubaroulis

Dimitri Koubaroulis has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Dimitri is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Q-CTRL since October 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at SafetyCulture, starting as an API and Integrations Team Lead from September 2016 to July 2017. Dimitri then served as an Engineering Manager from August 2017 to October 2023, where they were responsible for team growth, product development, and engineering culture. Before joining SafetyCulture, Dimitri worked at Covata as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2012 to September 2016, contributing to the development of security-aware software products. Dimitri also served as a Senior Research and Software Engineer/Release Manager at Silverbrook Research from an unknown start date to May 2012, where they worked on cross-platform applications and web-based business automation using digital pen technology. At the University of Surrey, Dimitri worked as a Research Assistant from July 2001 to January 2002, contributing to the development of a colour image-based semantic video annotation system.

Dimitri Koubaroulis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in 1998. Dimitri then completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Image-based object recognition and content-based image retrieval from the University of Surrey in 2001.
