Donna Balado is an experienced educator and administrator with a diverse background in science education and publishing. Currently serving as a Science Teacher and Department Chair at Queen Anne's County Public Schools since August 2021, Donna has also held the position of Director of Research & Publishing with autonomous_ID since September 2019. Previous roles include Environmental Literacy Specialist with the Maryland State Department of Education and Adjunct Faculty at McDaniel College, where Donna taught a course on Environmental Problems. Donna's earlier career in education included a tenure as Science Teacher and Department Chair at Carroll County Public Schools, focusing on biology and AP Environmental Science. Additionally, Donna has extensive publishing experience in various editorial and acquisition roles with organizations such as Wolters Kluwer and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Donna holds an MS in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College and a BA in Biology from D'Youville University.
