Scott Lawrence Lawson has extensive work experience in the field of IT architecture and security. Scott Lawrence currently serves as the Director of IT Security & Architecture at QAD, where they manage a global team and implements a holistic security practice based on the NIST Cyber Security Framework. Scott Lawrence has also designed processes for threat intelligence, security event response, and proactive protection. Prior to their current role, Scott held the position of Director of IT Architecture at QAD for a period of ten years. In this role, they developed capability model-driven architecture and collaborated with global IT and business units to drive the strategic planning process. Before joining QAD, Scott served as the Business Systems Architect, where they successfully migrated 1,600 global users from Lotus Notes to Google Apps, resulting in improved functionality and cost savings. Prior to QAD, Scott was the Sole Proprietor of their own business, OneAnthem, where they focused on information architecture, website development, and education. Scott Lawrence taught courses on software applications, designed and delivered seminars on project management, and provided various services to Fortune 500 organizations. Scott also gained experience as an Online Training Developer and Technical Writer at ADP, where they converted paper-based materials into online publications and built online simulations and training courses. Scott Lawrence started their career as the Director of Training at The Focus Institute, leading a department of trainers and technical writers and teaching advanced courses in various technologies. Before that, they worked as a Courseware Developer and Editor at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, where they wrote and edited computer courseware manuals. Overall, Scott brings a wealth of experience in IT architecture, security, training, and education to their current role.

Scott Lawrence Lawson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, with a focus on Poetry Composition, from California State University, Fullerton in 1990. Prior to this, they were a BA Transfer Student in Music at Saddleback College from 1985 to 1988. Scott later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Language and Literature, specializing in Poetry Composition at California State University, Fullerton from 1990 to 1991. In addition to their educational background, Scott Lawson holds certifications in various fields such as being a QAD Certified Instructor obtained in 2011 from QAD Inc., and being Zachman Certified™ - Enterprise Architect obtained in 2009 from The Zachman Institute.
