Andrew McKinney

Andrew McKinney has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Andrew began their career at MailDefence in 2003, where they served as the Technical Director, providing Managed Email Security to top companies and local councils. Andrew then moved on to Team Solutionz in 2004, working as a Technical Consultant, designing and implementing multi-site installations and providing third-line Domino administration support. From 2006 to 2010, Andrew worked at NYSE Technologies as a Senior Field Engineer, focusing on the design and support of their Data Fabric infrastructure. Andrew then joined NYSE Euronext in 2010 as a Network Engineer. In 2011, Andrew joined First Derivatives, where they held multiple roles including HPC Architect and VP of Research & Development. Here, they worked on performance engineering, defining reference architectures, and managing a global development team. In 2018, Andrew joined State Street as a VP of Platform Engineering, specializing in automated deployment of Kubernetes distributions. Most recently, in 2019, Andrew became a Principal Engineer at Qarik Group.

Andrew McKinney attended Ulster University from 1999 to 2001, where they studied Computer Science. In addition, they obtained certifications from Google, including the Google Cloud Certified Fellow in August 2022 and the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect in August 2021.
