Ahmed Badawy

Ahmed Badawy is an experienced professional in research and policy advisory with a focus on SME and entrepreneurship in Qatar. Currently serving as the Head of Research & Policy Advisory at Qatar Development Bank since January 2015, Ahmed is responsible for providing policy recommendations, analyzing current statuses, and securing stakeholder engagement. Prior to this role, Ahmed was the Manager of Research at Enterprise Qatar, overseeing research agendas and managing external consultants. Experience as a Senior Economic Researcher at the Information and Decision Support Center involved leading teams in socio-economic research and policy evaluation. Ahmed began the research career as a Junior Economic Researcher, contributing to reports and presentations for decision-makers. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Economics with a focus on Energy Policies, a Diploma in Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
