Martin Buechel

Martin Buechel is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategy development, financial management, and corporate growth. Currently serving as Director of Strategy in the CEO Office at the Qatar Financial Centre Authority since January 2023, Buechel is responsible for leading the group's strategic initiatives. Previously, Buechel held the position of Director at AlixPartners, focusing on growth strategies and performance improvement for various sectors, and served as Director at Monitor Deloitte, concentrating on growth strategy and M&A for financial institutions. Buechel gained further expertise as Director and Head of Sales Management at Credit Suisse, leading sales efforts for UHNW clients, and worked at PwC as Director in Corporate Finance & Recovery, advising on M&A and financial restructuring. Buechel holds an MBA in General Management from IMD and a Bachelor of Science from FHS St.Gallen University of Applied Sciences.
