Alfred Chiwaka FCCA, LLM has an extensive and diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Alfred began their career as an Assistant Audit Manager at Graham Carr - Certified Accountants in 1993 and worked there until 2003. After that, they served as a Principal Auditor at the London Borough of Newham from 2004 to 2005. Then, they worked as a Project Manager - Risk and Controls at Marsh from 2006 to 2007. Alfred joined Swiss Re in 2007 and took on roles such as Regional Finance Risk Manager - Ireland, UK, and Africa from April 2007 to March 2008, and later as VP, Group Internal Audit, Europe/Asia from April 2008 to December 2010. From 2011 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Auditor at Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. Alfred served as a Principal Consultant at ADIZA Management Consultancy from 2012 to 2013. Finally, they joined the Qatar Insurance Company in 2013 as VP Group Internal Audit until January 2016, after which they became SVP and Head of Group Compliance.

Alfred Chiwaka FCCA, LLM has obtained several degrees and qualifications in the field of finance and law. Alfred is an Association Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA) from ACCA and holds a Masters of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from the University of London. Alfred has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Laws with a focus on Financial Services Law, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Laws in Banking and Finance Law, both from the University of London. In 2018, they completed the International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, known as ICA, from The University of Manchester. Additionally, they have obtained a Certificate in Global Financial Compliance from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI).
