Oualid Bakkas

Oualid Bakkas has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of public relations, media research, journalism, and communications. Oualid is currently working as the Content & Public Relations Team Lead at Qatar Insurance Group, where they lead the planning and implementation of external communication campaigns. Prior to this, they worked at Qanect as a Public Relations Manager and Executive, as well as a Public Relations Coordinator. Additionally, Oualid has experience as a Media Researcher Assistant at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and as a Trainee Digital Media Editor at The Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad. Oualid has also worked as a Trainee Journalist at Round Earth Media and SNRT (The Public Moroccan Broadcasting Company). Furthermore, they have served as a Project Communications Assistant at United Cities and Local Governments, and as a Trainee Journalist at MAGHREB ARABE PRESSE AGENCE MAROCAINE DE PRESSE. Oualid has demonstrated skills in brand communication, media monitoring, content production, and event coordination.

Oualid Bakkas received a Master's degree in Media Studies from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies from 2015 to 2017. Oualid also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Media and Communication from the Institut Supérieur de l'Information et de la Communication - ISIC Rabat from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences from CPGE - Classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles in 2012. Oualid has also obtained various certifications including Post-editing & Computer-assisted Translation Tools from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in 2023, Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française from Ministère de l'Éducation nationale in 2021, Digital Public Relations Management from Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in 2020, and other certificates in the fields of journalism and media from reputable institutions. Additionally, they participated in the Winter School on Times and Spaces of Globalization at Università degli Studi di Padova in 2017.
