Bilal Ahmed Shaikh, FCCA has over 16 years of work experience in the field of risk management, internal audit, and financial services. Bilal Ahmed is currently working as an Operational Risk Manager at Qatar Islamic Bank, where they are responsible for performing RCA exercises, loss reporting, and maintaining the internal loss database.

Previously, Bilal worked as a Consultant at KPMG Saudi Arabia, where they led teams in executing internal audit and advisory projects for financial institutions. Bilal Ahmed also worked on regulatory inspections in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.

Before that, Bilal was an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young Bahrain, where they focused on providing consultancy services to financial institutions for strengthening their process and control weaknesses.

Prior to their role at Ernst & Young, Bilal worked as a Senior Auditor at PwC Pakistan. Their responsibilities included providing advisory services related to risk management and regulatory compliance for clients in the financial services industry. Bilal Ahmed was also involved in annual statutory audits and credit review exercises for various financial institutions.

Bilal started their professional career as an ACCA Trainee at Pakistan State Oil Company, where they conducted compliance audits of different departments and retail outlets.

Throughout their career, Bilal has demonstrated expertise in risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance in the financial services industry.

Bilal Ahmed Shaikh, FCCA, has a strong education background in audit, finance, and accountancy. Bilal Ahmed completed their FCCA degree from ACCA between 2001 and 2004. In addition, they hold a B.Com degree in commerce from Karachi University, which they earned between 2002 and 2005. Bilal is also a Professional Accounting Affiliate from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Furthermore, they attended Lamartine Academy where they completed their HSc degree. It is unclear when they started and finished this education program.

In terms of additional certifications, Bilal obtained the certification of "Certified Operational Risk Practitioner" from the International Academy of Business and Financial Management in November 2016.
