Nidal Abdullah

Nidal Abdullah has over 30 years of work experience in the banking and IT industries. Nidal most recently served as the Senior Executive Manager and Head of IT Governance and Security at Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) since December 2014. Prior to that, they worked at the National Bank of Kuwait for seven years, where they established and operationalized the IT Project Management Office (PMO) for the core banking systems replacement program. Nidal also headed the IT Planning and Control group at NBK. Before joining NBK, Nidal worked as an IT Executive Consultant at Bank of Jordan and held various roles in IT and business at Arab Bank, including a position as a Program Manager. Nidal began their career as a Network Engineer at Petra Bank and worked as a Hardware Engineer at General Computers & Electronics Co.

Nidal Abdullah obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Communications from The University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. Nidal completed their undergraduate education from 1982 to 1987. Later, Nidal pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Banking and Finance at The Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences from 1994 to 1996.
