Osama Mady

Division Head - Asset Liability Management at Qatar Islamic Bank

Osama Mady has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Osama started their career as a Trainee at HSBC in 1992, and later worked as an Auditor at Thrust Management Consultants. In 1997, they joined KPMG as an Auditor, where they evaluated internal control systems, examined and audited financial statements, and prepared financial statements.

Mady then moved on to The United Bank of Egypt, where they served as an Assistant Finance Manager and was responsible for the Budgeting Unit. Osama later joined Qatar National Bank Group as the Head of Operations and Accounting for financial lease, where they elaborated, formalized, and implemented accounting procedures.

In 2006, Mady joined Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) as the Division Head of Asset Liability Management. In this role, they provided strategic planning and insights to increase revenues and control costs. Osama also consolidated the financial strategic plan in line with the bank's strategy, reviewed and validated budget control reports, and participated in the bank's annual financial planning and budgeting process.

Osama Mady holds a Professional Diploma in Accounting and Auditing from the American Bankers Association - American Institute Of Banking in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. Osama also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting, from the Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shams University. The diploma was obtained in 2000, and the bachelor's degree was completed between 1992 and 1995.
